Quick word on garlic. Set these out in October. Cover with leaves and put some sort of a wildlife screen over the bed. Garlic sets (bulbs) will emerge and grow very slowly over winter and then blow out through early summer. Super easy to grow and if you like garlic, a wonderful addition to your pantry. This 4 x 8 bed will give enough to last into April or even May if stored properly.
No weeding. No watering. No fuss.
